Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Engineering Assistant to support our engineering and production teams in data entry for Material Requisition. The main responsibility is to accurately key in material lists—provided by engineers or project leads—into our internal company software. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and interest in technical work. Candidates who show initiative and technical aptitude may be trained further in AutoCAD, CAM, and nesting work.

Key Responsibilities

• Input material requisition data from Excel files into the company’s internal system with high accuracy.
• Verify information against engineering drawings or specifications to ensure consistency.
• Assist in managing and organizing technical documents and requisition records.
• Support engineers with general administrative and documentation tasks.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely processing of requisitions.
• For suitable candidates: support basic CAD tasks and, with training, assist in CAM and nesting activities for production planning.

Qualifications

• SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to follow instructions accurately.
• Willingness to learn technical tools and grow into more advanced responsibilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Below is an added advantage (not mandatory)

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or ability to interpret simple technical drawings will be added advantage.
• Familiarity with fabrication, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
• Exposure to or interest in CAM software and nesting (e.g. Cypnest)
