Overview

LP Capital Construction Sdn Bhd – Batu Pahat, Johor

The Road Maintenance Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the effective implementation of road maintenance works. The role involves technical evaluation, quality control, and coordination with stakeholders to maintain road infrastructure according to standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design road maintenance schedules based on asset condition assessments.
• Prepare work orders, maintenance strategies, and method statements.
• Conduct site inspections and technical evaluations of road conditions (pavement, drainage, signage, etc.).
• Monitor ongoing maintenance works to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety, and quality standards.
• Manage project documentation, including reports, progress updates, and compliance records.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government agencies (e.g., JKR/JPS) on project execution.
• Provide engineering solutions for road defects and recommend improvement measures.
• Assist in budgeting, cost estimation, and procurement for maintenance materials and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards on site.
• Ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) – preferable.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in road maintenance, civil infrastructure, or related field.
• Familiar with road design and maintenance standards (e.g., Arahan Teknik JKR/JPS).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and relevant engineering software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Applicants must be willing to travel within Johor (JB, Kluang, Segamat, Muar, Tangkak, etc).
