Job summary

A Malaysian manufacturing company in Selangor is looking for a Mechanical/Electrical/Production Engineer to handle equipment installations, manage preventive maintenance, and address breakdown issues. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Familiarity with PLC is an advantage. The role demands the ability to work under pressure in a challenging environment with rotating shifts. Excellent management skills are essential.

Job description

Engineer – Mechanical / Electrical / Production

• Handle and manage equipment installation and preventive maintenance.
• Attend to breakdown issues at the site.
• Liaise with multiple departments on maintenance work progress.
• Plan and perform daily planned maintenance work and spare part management.
• Be involved in checking, repairing and servicing of machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures in the plant.
• Ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Electrical (Power) / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) will be an added advantage.
• Must be able to work under pressure in a dusty and hot environment.
• Might be required to work in shift rotation / on-call duty.
• Good management skills.
