Job summary

The EHS Department plays a core role in building a strong EHS culture at Dexcom Malaysia to create a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace where employees can thrive. We develop and drive the EHS Management System to minimize business risks, ensure full regulatory compliance, and promote a culture where every employee takes ownership of safety and sustainability.

The EHS Specialist is essential to advance this mission by providing technical expertise, supporting day‑to‑day EHS programs, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams. This position is responsible for implementing operational risk control plans, conducting risk assessments and incident investigations, strengthening emergency preparedness, ensuring compliance with legal and other requirements, and supporting continual improvement in our EHS performance. As a hands‑on contributor, EHS Specialist helps turn EHS strategy into practical actions that keep our people safe, protect the environment, and enable operational excellence.

Where You Come In
  • You work with cross‑functional departments to ensure business activities comply with relevant EHS regulations and corporate EHS Standards.
  • You improve EHS workplace performance by promoting a positive safety culture, identifying and mitigating EHS risks, and implementing EHS management systems in accordance with regulations, corporate compliance policies, and standards.
  • You conduct and coordinate workplace inspections to identify hazards and verify compliance with EHS requirements.
  • You develop, review, and revise EHS procedures and programs to ensure they remain effective and up to date.
  • You coordinate the implementation of EHS Programs such as EHS Orientation, Contractor Safety, Emergency Response Team Management, and other key initiatives.
  • You review, investigate, and perform root cause analysis for work‑related injuries, illnesses, accidents, and safety concerns, ensuring that improvement actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
  • You collaborate with various teams to review and approve designs of new equipment and modifications to existing equipment to ensure EHS considerations are incorporated.
  • You perform other related duties as assigned that support the overall function of this position.
What Makes You Successful
  • You have a Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related Science discipline.
  • You bring 3–5 years of experience in the EHS field, preferably within manufacturing.
  • You are familiar with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • You have experience leading an Emergency Response Team, which will be an added advantage.
  • You are a Safety and Health Officer registered with DOSH, which will be an added advantage.
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills, enabling effective engagement across all levels.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Your strong planning and coordination skills support successful execution of EHS programs and initiatives.
