A local automotive service company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Personal Driver responsible for the safe delivery and maintenance of company vehicles. Candidates should possess a valid Malaysian driving license and have knowledge of the local area. Key responsibilities include ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained and safe for use, assisting with logistics coordination, and reporting any issues to management. Handle regular bank errands including deposits, withdrawals, and other banking transactions.
Pick up and deliver important company documents, parcels, and materials to various locations promptly and securely.
Vehicle Delivery & Collection
Safely deliver cars to and collect cars from workshops, service centres and other third-party service providers.
Ensure vehicles are properly checked before delivery and after collection for condition and completeness.
Provide safe and punctual transportation for the Managing Director as required.
Ensure the vehicle assigned for the Managing Director is clean, well-maintained, and ready for use.
Vehicle Maintenance Assistance
Assist in basic maintenance checks for company vehicles, including fuel level, tire pressure, and cleanliness.
Report any mechanical issues or damages promptly to the management.
Logistics & Coordination
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to schedule and manage vehicle dispatches efficiently.
Communicate any delays or issues encountered during deliveries promptly.
Compliance & Safety
Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies while driving.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and ensure all necessary vehicle documentation (insurance, road tax, etc.) are up to date.
General Duties
Support other administrative or operational tasks as assigned by management.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive company matters.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum SPM or equivalent education.
Prior experience as a driver or in dispatch/logistics role is preferred.
Experience in the automotive industry is a plus but not mandatory.
Technical & Soft Skills
Valid Malaysian driving license (Class B2 & D) with a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas.
Responsible, punctual and reliable with a strong sense of duty.
Good communication skills and able to follow instructions accurately.
Physically fit and able to handle vehicle inspection and minor maintenance tasks.
Trustworthy and able to handle confidential documents securely.
Additional Requirements
Flexible to work beyond regular hours.
Ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with senior management and external parties.
