Job description

Responsibilities

• To ensure that drilling operations on the rig site are being performed in safe and efficient manners at all times and in line with issued drilling program.
• Issue day-to-day detail job instructions to all contractors on the rig site and monitor the progress of all operations works on well site (coring, liner, casing running, simultaneous drilling and production), completion and well testing. Ensure that all works performed by Contractors and Service Companies under his responsibility are properly done and interest prevailed to optimize the cost reduction at a high safety and performance level. Ensure all contractors have copies and understand daily planning.
• Supervise and Control procedures and practices during the operations to minimize damage of reservoir by careful planning instruction and follow-up.
• Plan and liaise with Logistic Base and COMPANY Drilling in the Office for ordering material, equipment delivery and contractor personnel transfer to rig. Ensure that the equipment sent to the rig is correct and in good condition.
• Plan vessel movement and liaise with other COMPANY representative in the Field and Logistic base to optimize the vessel trips.
• Responsible to compile and summarize the drilling activities, problems with good judgments and report to Drilling Superintendent for decision making. Verify various daily, monthly, cost control, incidents and other ad- hoc reports on drilling activities and progress.
• Manage, analyze and evaluate vendor/outsource parties relationships, third party work performance to ensure compliance of contractual agreement and Service Level Agreement (SLA) and responsible to the quality standard services is delivered to end users align with COMPANY guidelines, policies and procedures
• Promote and ensure all the health, safety and environment activities follows and comply with Companys HSE policies, procedures and regulations and effectively implemented to secure work environment in order to meet COMPANY HSE plan and targets.
• Develop and establish department policies and procedures by formulating and reviewing operational needs and obtaining approval and ensure compliance with business requirements, strategies and objectives.

Requirements

• Possess at least Bachelors Degree in Engineering or applied Science. Masters in these disciplines with Masters in Business Administration would be an advantage.
• At least 15 years of experiences as a Drilling Supervisor and last 3 years as a Lead. Good knowledge of well site operations to supervise drilling, completion & fluids/cement programs execution. • Must currently hold valid IWCF / IADC well control certificate
• Extensive knowledge and experience of Drilling batch factory model including offline activity while drilling
• Extensive experience drilling in Pattani Basin and North Malay Basin, in extreme temperature, slim-hole & fast-pace drilling with concurrent OAC activities, and with URF perforation & HUC & Production SIMOPS
• Good knowledge and experience of the drilling SIMOPS activity
• Good knowledge and experience of the risk assessment and how to apply to the operations.
• Good knowledge and experience of the BBS and SWA safety system and how to apply to the operations.
• Must have solid experience in a regional role ideally including experience covering Gulf of Thailand - JDA Thai-Malaysia drilling area.
• Have a strong leadership who can manage multiple stakeholders both rig contractor and services companies
• Have a strong mentoring and coaching skills who builds high performing teams
