🚀 WE ARE HIRING: DRAFTSMAN
Turn customer ideas into production-ready reality.
Role Summary
You don’t just prepare drawings — you enable production. You’ll transform customer concepts and internal specifications into accurate, build-ready 2D drawings and 3D models used directly for machining, fabrication, and assembly. You’ll own drawing quality, revision control, and manufacturability, working closely with Sales, Production, QC, and Purchasing to ensure what we draw can be built correctly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce complete 2D manufacturing drawings (orthographic, sections, details) and 3D models for:
- Brush cores, shafts, hubs, end caps, jigs & fixtures, holders
- Aluminum channels, strip / tuft patterns
- Sheet-metal parts (laser / waterjet), CNC turned & milled parts
- Plastics (PP, PBT, PA6 / PA66)
- Apply correct tolerances and standards
- Define BOMs (materials, quantities, finishes, coatings) and explode assemblies clearly
- Create clear process and drawing notes: machining → finishing → assembly → QC → packaging
- Manage revision control (Rev A/B/C), change logs, and controlled release to shopfloor
- Check DFA / DFM feasibility with cost and process awareness
- Prepare customer approval drawings (GA) and internal job sheets aligned to Sales orders
- Work closely with Production & QC to update drawings after first-article inspection
- Maintain drawing libraries, templates, title blocks, and clean file structure
Requirements
- Strong command of SolidWorks (preferred) or AutoCAD
- Solid understanding of technical drawing principles, fits (H7/h7), and surface symbols
- Experience with BOM structuring, part numbering, and title-block discipline
- Practical knowledge of materials & processes:
- Aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel
- Plastics (PP, PBT, PA6 / PA66), silicone
- Able to convert rough sketches, pictures, or customer concepts into clear, toleranced drawings
- Detail-oriented and disciplined with strong self-checking habits
Experience & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial Design or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years drafting experience in machining / fabrication environment (Fresh graduates with strong portfolios may be considered)
- Portfolio required: 2D drawings + 3D models (PDF + native files)
Tools You’ll Use
- SolidWorks (or equivalent), AutoCAD / DraftSight
- MS Office / Google Workspace
- Controlled file naming, versioning & PDF release standards
- On-site verification with QC measuring tools when required
Benefits
- Market-competitive salary with performance review
- EPF, SOCSO, EIS
- Direct exposure to ETO manufacturing & machining
- Hands-on collaboration with production team
- Clear growth path to Senior Draftsman / Process Engineer
