Job summary

Job description
Role Purpose

This role is responsible for assessing global applications and processes for compliance with data protection, privacy, and AI regulations, following Express and DHL Group standards. You will act as a privacy expert for application and process architects, as well as regional and local Data Protection Officers (DPOs). Compliance will be achieved through the internal DPR/PIA process, as part of the Privacy Center of Excellence (CoE).

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
  • Create high-level personal data flow diagrams and deletion concepts.
  • Document the processing of personal data and AI within global applications and processes through Data Processing Records (DPRs).
  • Support with PIAs, DPIAs, and AI assessments to reduce risks to the rights and freedoms of data subjects.
  • Build strong relationships with application and process owners to collect and prepare relevant DPR information.
  • Act as an ambassador for “privacy by design,” guiding IT and business teams to embed privacy into their solutions.
  • Provide support to regional and local DPOs on data protection, privacy, and AI-related challenges.
  • Develop and maintain training materials on data protection and privacy.
  • Assist with privacy risk management and track corrective actions.
  • Ensure data quality in OneTrust and contribute to reporting requirements.
  • Apply data protection and privacy knowledge to meet legal documentation requirements and coach application owners to achieve higher levels of privacy by design.
Do you have what it takes?
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • At least 3 years of experience in application and/or process design.
  • Knowledge of data protection, privacy, and AI legislation (3+ years preferred).
  • Academic background in IT, Economics, or a related field.
  • DPO certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • AI Compliance certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with strong presentation skills.
  • Additional languages are considered an advantage.
