Job summary

A leading precious metals recycling firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks a cost accountant to prepare cost reports, analyze profit margins, and maintain inventory for recycling processes. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 2-4 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside knowledge of Incoterms. This position may require travel to Johor Bahru.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 2-4 years experience in cost accounting or similar.
• Knowledge of Incoterms is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost reports for recycling processes.
• Analyze profit and loss for each transaction.
• Maintain inventory records for materials and goods.
• Conduct inventory reconciliations against ERP data.
• Assist in budget development and cost forecasting.
• Collaborate to improve inventory accuracy.
• Support audits with documentation and analysis.
• Coordinate with teams to evaluate supplier costs.
• Analyze production data for cost trends.
• Contribute to monthly financial closing activities.
• Generate reports on cost variance and margins.
• Provide financial insights for strategic initiatives.
