Job description
What You’ll Do (Applicable to Both Roles)
  • Support and execute cost control activities to ensure effective cost management.
  • Monitor and maintain tracking of costs, budgets and cash flow.
  • Support cash flow planning, budget utilization and purchase order (PO) management.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and Power BI.
  • Work closely with Finance and Operations teams to drive cost efficiency.
  • Conduct cost variance analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and control policies and procedures.
  • Carry out ad‑hoc tasks and assignments as required from time to time.
Additional Responsibilities – Cost Control Manager
  • Oversee and coordinate cost control activities across projects, plants or departments.
  • Review cost trends and utilization to support management decision‑making.
  • Provide guidance, direction and coaching to executives or junior team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to cost control processes and systems.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or related field.
  • Minimum 3-10 years of relevant experience in cost control, cost accounting or cost management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for cost analysis, modelling and simulation.
  • Good analytical, problem‑solving and attention to detail skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, trilingual in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP) is preferred.
  • Power BI exposure or working knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Seniority and title (Manager or Executive) will be determined based on experience and competencies.
