About the Role
We are looking for someone who enjoys analysing numbers, questioning data, and understanding how a business truly operates — from production floor to management dashboards.
This role goes beyond basic costing or reporting. You will work across operations, finance, and sales, translating complex data into insights that support pricing, profitability, and strategic decisions.
If you are the type who looks at numbers and thinks “this doesn’t quite make sense” — and then wants to find out why — you will fit in well here.
What You Will Do
Costing & Business Analysis
- Prepare, maintain and continuously improve product and process costing (materials, labour, overheads)
- Analyse production costs, margins, and variances
- Assess cost impact of process changes, yield issues, wastage and losses, and new products and SKUs
- Support pricing, budgeting, forecasting and management decision-making
- Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate cost and margin implications
Sales, Commercial & Profitability Analysis
- Product
- Customer
- Channel
- Region
- Track and explain margin movements caused by pricing changes, promotions, discounts, freight, or cost fluctuations
- Support commercial teams with:
- Profitability analysis
- Pricing simulations
- New product and customer evaluations
- Evaluate the effectiveness and financial impact of promotions, rebates, and commercial terms
- Review data from production, inventory, logistics, purchasing, maintenance and finance
- Identify anomalies, inconsistencies, or unusual trends
- Cross-check data across systems instead of accepting figures at face value
- Request additional data, validate assumptions and follow through until conclusions are confirmed
- Act as a data sanity check, ensuring consistency between ERP data, operational records and management reports
- Design and maintain management dashboards covering cost, margin, yield, inventory, and sales KPIs
- Conduct analysis using Power BI or similar BI tools, including:
- Trend and variance analysis
- Root-cause analysis
- Translate raw data into clear, actionable insights for management
- Support ad-hoc analysis for decision-making and strategic initiatives
Inventory & Operations Support
- Monitor inventory movements, material usage and stock ageing
- Assist in stock reconciliation, cycle counts, and physical stock takes
- Work with operations teams to validate yields, losses, and wastage figures
- Help identify operational inefficiencies and cost leakage
Templates, System & Process Improvement
- Build and maintain intermediate to advanced Excel models, including:
- b) Lookups
- c) Logical formulas
- d) Scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Improve how data is collected, structured, and reported across departments
- Support ERP and BI adoption by reducing reliance on manual spreadsheets
- Document costing methodologies, assumptions, and data logic for clarity and consistency
- Help establish standard KPIs, reporting standards, and analytics best practices
Who Should Apply
We care more about how you think than how many systems you have used.
You May Be a Good Fit If You:
- Enjoy working with numbers and spotting patterns
- Are curious and naturally question data that looks “off”
- Are comfortable working independently and figuring things out
- Are disciplined, logical, and detail-oriented
- Can explain complex findings in clear, business-friendly language
- Think in cause-and-effect, not just reports
- Want to understand how operations, costs, and decisions connect
Requirements
- Degree or Professional Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Business, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or related fields
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant role. Exceptional fresh graduates and junior candidates with strong analytical capabilities may still be considered.
- ERP / manufacturing / costing experience is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical thinking and follow-through ability
Why Join Us
