Responsible for the teaching and learning process across academic programmes within the faculty/centre. This includes designing, developing, and delivering courses aligned with the curriculum, evaluating teaching effectiveness, and contributing to the university’s research capability through active research and postgraduate supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop courses in line with approved curriculum/syllabus.
- Review modules and programmes periodically to ensure compliance with regulatory and professional body requirements.
- Update curriculum with global content, latest knowledge, and transferable skills.
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver teaching modules using diverse resources and practices.
- Adopt innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning.
- Prepare and conduct assessments including tools, grading, and structured evaluations.
Student Development
- Provide academic advisory/counselling in area of expertise.
- Supervise student engagement initiatives to promote positive learning experiences.
- Coordinate work placement programmes to enhance employability.
Research & Development
- Conduct individual or collaborative research projects in area of expertise.
- Publish and present findings in academic or professional forums.
- Supervise postgraduate research projects and serve as examiner.
Professional Development
- Engage in lifelong learning to meet Continuous Professional Education requirements.
- Provide consultancy/advisory services in area of expertise.
Administration
- Coordinate programmes and activities within the faculty/centre.
- Build partnerships with industry, agencies, and institutions.
- Seek research grants to support faculty research.
- Execute administrative tasks as assigned by the Dean.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in T&CM or related field
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience (for staff teaching core courses).
OR
Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in T&CM or related field
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Same as above.
