Job description

The Controlling Analyst is responsible for managing end-to-end SG&A controlling processes for the assigned country or division. This includes preparing SG&A trends and Capex forecasts in the system, validating expenses, aligning with budget owners, and providing clear monthly performance analysis. The role assesses financial risks and opportunities, ensures compliance with internal controls, and supports continuous process improvements.

The Controlling Analyst reports directly to the Senior/Controlling Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare SG&A trend, forecasts, and Capex inputs in the financial systems.
• Analyze monthly actuals and deliver clear performance insights, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Track and validate SG&A expenses, including POs and T&E submissions.
• Develop annual budgets and trends for SG&A metrics across assigned business units/countries.

Business Partnering

• Align and collaborate closely with country/division budget owners on SG&A assumptions and metrics.
• Act as the subject matter expert for SG&A topics for the assigned country/division.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and influence discussions with Division Controlling Heads and country CFOs.
• Independently lead communication and review meetings with key stakeholders.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to internal controls and monitor financial risks and barriers.
• Oversee complete SG&A controlling processes for complex market portfolios.
• Mentor junior team members and champion best practices within the team.
• Lead or support process optimization initiatives and problem-solving activities to improve operational efficiency.
