Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking a Contracts Administrator to manage various contracts and sub-contract works. Responsibilities
  • Overall administration of the various contracts and sub‑contract works assigned, including preparation of tendering, sourcing material, procurement site coordination, and closing final accounts.
  • Preparation of tender documents and sub‑contract agreements for sub‑contractors.
  • Call tenders/quotations, evaluate them, and make recommendations to Contracts (HOD).
  • Ensure arrangement of project insurance.
  • Handle pre‑ and post‑contract correspondence, coordinating with project managers, sites, consultants, and clients.
  • Resolve all contractual issues of the projects undertaken.
  • Be familiar with ISO 9001 certification and related standards.
  • Stay well‑versed in current labour and material rates and keep up to date with prevailing market prices.
  • Prepare cost built‑up for various trades and develop preliminary costing for tender submissions.
Qualifications
  • Higher Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building Construction.
  • At least 2‑4 years of experience in pre‑ and post‑contract administration, preferably with a main contractor, developer, construction, or interior design industry.
  • Independent, resourceful, and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working under tight timelines and multitasking.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
