Contract Surveying, Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager
- Prepare, maintain, and manage tender documents comprising BoQ, costing, unit prices, tender clarifications, and risk analysis.
- Prepare the costing of the pre-contract and post-contract.
- Evaluate price comparisons and costing summaries (i.e., analyse and evaluate supplier and subcontractor bids to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards).
- Prepare tender proposals, manage clients’ correspondence, and monitor the budget.
- Track quantities, project costing, and profit margin control.
- Participate in audits and project reviews to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Cost Estimation and Budgeting
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project scope, design, and specifications for solar projects.
- Work with the project management team to ensure that budgets are adhered to and project costs are monitored and controlled.
- Conduct cost benchmarking and perform value engineering to identify cost savings without compromising project quality.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying (QS), contract management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on the solar, energy, or construction industries.
- Strong understanding of contracts, tender processes, and procurement strategies in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) sector. Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with cost estimation techniques, contract law, and construction regulations.
- Good negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Skills
- Additional: Experience in renewable energy projects, specifically solar energy (PV).
- Familiarity with industry-standard cost databases and software (e.g., CostX, WinQS).
