Job description

We are looking for a motivated Consultant to join our growing team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build your expertise in HSSE audits, HSSE/ESG due diligence, ESG strategy development, decarbonisation, circular economy initiatives, water stewardship, and digital implementation for ESG performance management, while contributing to impactful projects across Southeast Asia.

This is a client-facing role where you will engage with clients to support task coordination and delivery, communicate findings, and contribute to practical and innovative sustainability solutions. Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive mindset are key to success. Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes for Sustainable Operations projects in the areas of HSSE Management Systems, Audits, Decarbonisation, Circular Economy, and Digital Enablement for ESG Performance Management.
  • Take a leading role in coordinating and delivering HSSE projects across various industries in Malaysia and the region, including client engagement and project management support.
  • Actively support the execution of HSSE audits and ESG assessments through data collection, analysis, and preparation of findings.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, reports, and client deliverables, with a focus on clarity, coherence, and professional presentation.
  • Demonstrate initiative in staying informed on evolving HSSE standards, frameworks, and reporting requirements, and applying new knowledge to project work.
  • Support digital enablement initiatives by working with data and visualisation tools to enhance ESG performance insights.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Climate Change, Chemical Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting, with familiarity in environmental and/or health and safety advisory services.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain flexibility, with a strong ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of ESG and sustainability frameworks, water inventories/mass balance approaches and familiarisation with the principles of a circular economy and water stewardship.
  • Exposure of working with advanced data analytics tools and digital platforms to collect, analyze, and interpret sustainability-related data.
  • Exposure to ISO Management Systems, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 14046; would be an advantage.
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills; ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
