Job summary

A leading engineering company in Malaysia is seeking a Commissioning Engineer (Electrical) with substantial experience in electrical systems and project commissioning. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics and at least 8 years of hands-on experience in Oil & Gas facilities, including 4 years in electrical system commissioning. Responsibilities include preparing test plans and conducting system setups. The role requires offshore readiness and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years hands-on experience in Oil & Gas facilities.
• 4 years experience in project commissioning of electrical systems.
• Experience with HV and LV voltage system testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare commissioning test plans and procedures.
• Conduct loop checks and system setups.

About the job Commissioning Engineer (Electrical)

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent, with minimum 8 year hands-on-the-job experience in Oil & Gas facilities and 4 year experience project commissioning in electrical systems.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership/influencing skills.
• Computer literate and skilled user of MS Office, familiar with Project Completion System.
• Having hands-on-the-job working experience Electrical system commissioning with instrumentation in system setup, loop check, HV and LV voltage system testing, motor solo run test, generator commissioning and overall process system for wellhead platform, compression module, power generation (diesel or turbine generator) project.
• Familiar and hand-on prepare the testing check sheet, Commissioning test plan and procedure.
• Must have minimum four (4) year experience working related with Electrical system pre-commissioning, commissioning and system handover.
• Medical Fit for offshore.
• Willing to go to offshore and travel by air or water transport.
