Summary

STERIS Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Commercial Operations Specialist to support our Healthcare business in Malaysia and Singapore. Reporting to the Country Manager of Malaysia, you support the preparation, coordination, and submission of tenders and bids for STERIS Healthcare Business in Malaysia and Singapore. You will ensure timely and compliant tender submissions, working closely with cross-functional teams to secure business opportunities in the healthcare sector.

In addition to managing tender processes, you play a key role in supporting commercial performance through active funnel management and analysis. You will be monitoring the overall health of the sales funnel, tracking tender-related pipelines, and reviewing funnel-to-revenue gaps to support forecasting and business planning efforts. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with sales and finance teams to help drive actionable insights and improve conversion outcomes.

The Experience, Skills And Abilities Needed
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
  • Coordinate and manage the full tender process including preparation, submission, and compliance with local procurement regulations
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (sales, regulatory, finance) to gather necessary documentation and pricing for tender submissions
  • Data analytics
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in tender management, proposals, sales operations, or bid coordination, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry
  • Competent in data analysis and report creation
  • Proficiency in English, with additional language skills in Malay or Mandarin considered an advantage
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent skills in MS Office and familiarity with tender management or CRM systems such as Salesforce
What You Will Do
  • Monitor, identify and assess relevant tender opportunities in Malaysia and Singapore
  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end tender process, including document preparation, review, and timely submission
  • Collaborate with sales, regulatory, quality assurance, and finance teams to gather required information and ensure compliance with tender specifications and local regulations
  • Ensure all tender documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines
  • Maintain and update tender databases and track tender status and outcomes
  • Assist in preparing pricing proposals and commercial terms in line with company policies
  • Support contract negotiations and liaise with customers and internal stakeholders post-tender submission
  • Monitor and manage the overall sales funnel, ensuring visibility across all opportunity stages and accurate alignment with sales forecasts
  • Analyze funnel health and identify gaps between funnel value and revenue targets, recommending actions to improve opportunity conversion and forecast accuracy
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance in tender management
