Identify and win new business from traders, producers, processors and end users, including handling tenders, RFQs and long‑term logistics and warehousing contracts.

Manage and grow relationships with key customers, acting as the primary contact for commercial matters, performance reviews and new service opportunities.

Structure and negotiate storage, handling, transport and value‑added service contracts and tariffs, ensuring alignment with company policies and risk appetite.

Work closely with operations and quality teams to ensure that warehousing, handling and blending services meet customer standards and agreed SOPs for soft commodities and metals.

Track market developments in soft commodities, metals and concentrates logistics and propose new services (e.g. value‑added handling, blending, inspection support) and pricing models.

Take P&L responsibility for assigned customers and product lines, including budgeting, pricing, performance tracking and reporting.

Support resolution of service issues, claims and billing disputes together with operations, finance and quality teams.

Represent the company with customers, surveyors, port/warehouse operators and relevant industry bodies in Malaysia.

Candidate profile

Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related discipline; relevant commercial experience in commodities or logistics will also be considered.

Minimum 7 years’ experience in commodity logistics, warehousing or trading, ideally with exposure to soft commodities, LME metals storage or concentrates blending.

Solid understanding of commercial models for storage, handling, transport and value‑added services, including tariffs, surcharges and risk allocation.

Proven track record in B2B business development and key account management in a logistics or commodity environment.

Good working knowledge of port and warehouse operations and quality/inspection workflows for soft commodities and metals.

Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills, comfortable engaging senior client stakeholders.

Able to work independently, travel within Malaysia and the region, and collaborate with regional/global commercial and operations teams.
