Commercial/Inventory Management & Control Executive

The Inventory Management & Control Executive is responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring accuracy of inventory records, and managing the end-to-end inventory process to support business goals.

The Commercial Management Executive will focus on product category management, pricing, and promotional planning to drive strategic decision-making and improve business performance supporting market competitiveness.

Scope of Responsibilities (Inventory Management & Control Executive)
  • Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
  • Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and adjust purchasing strategies.
  • Optimize the utilization of resources to achieve our business objectives and goals.
  • To extract, process, and perform data analysis for the reporting of weekly promotions and marketing activities. Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • To prepare weekly and monthly reports on inventory status and present findings to management and/or regional.
  • Support the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to improve business performance and analyze stock productivity & product rationalization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Marketing and Retail) to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Monitor system performance and identify potential problems before they occur.
Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting

Collect, process, and analyze data to support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Perform analysis for weekly promotions, marketing activities, sales trends, and product performance to identify insights, patterns, and opportunities.

Prepare the Weekly Sales Review and Analysis reports for APAC.

Product Category & Pricing Management

Study and monitor product range positioning in terms of pricing, quality, and image, including competitor price surveys and tracking new market entrants.

Support new product forecasting by preparing relevant sales data and information.

Conduct competitor research on pricing and product USPs to maintain market competitiveness.

Submit and manage new product development (NPD) orders within required timelines.

Promotions Planning & Execution

Generate promotion ideas and support planning, coordination, and implementation of promotional activities.

Set up commercial promotions in the system to ensure accurate execution of all promotion mechanics.

Monitor promotion performance and prepare relevant analytical reports.

Business Performance & Strategy Support

Assist in developing and implementing data-driven strategies to improve business performance, stock productivity, and product rationalization.

Improve processes for product development tracking and analytics.

System Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues related to promotions setup, identify root causes, and implement solutions.

Monitor system performance proactively to detect and prevent potential issues.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in merchandising in fast-moving consumer goods / fashion will be added advantage.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications especially Excel. Experience in database management and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in supply chain management or data analysis preferably within the retail industry.
  • Strong and proven problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear and concise reports and presentations for a non-technical audience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, a self-starter and a team player.
