Responsibilities
  • Organize the day-to-day operations in the designated areas of services.
  • Be responsible for scheduling Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in the service areas.
  • Supervise clinical activities offered by the department and re-evaluate from time to time to ensure that clinical resources are most appropriately used.
  • Perform medication dispensing and medication counseling.
  • Ensure all documents required by legislation are preserved and stored appropriately.
  • Ensure that only approved products are stored or available for use in the hospital.
  • Ensure the availability of formulary drugs at all service areas.
  • Ensure proper inventory management of pharmaceutical products through periodic cycle count at service areas and drug checks at all storage locations.
  • Ensure the security of dangerous drugs, psychotropic substances and controlled drugs are maintained at all times and their inventory is properly managed.
  • Carry out orientation programs for new staff in the department.
  • Perform periodic evaluations of respective staff in the department.
  • Develop and implement training programs for the departmental personnel.
  • Obtain and disseminate as necessary drug or drug therapy-related information.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of training programs in pharmacy areas for employees of CVSKL.
  • Participate, monitor, assess and review departmental KPI or quality indicator.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
Requirement
  • Degree in Pharmacy or its equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience, preferably in a hospital pharmacy.
