Job summary

A civil and structural engineering firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Civil & Structural Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The role requires designing high-rise structures and expertise in BIM modelling and Revit. Candidates must be motivated, diligent, and possess strong software skills, particularly in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Fresh graduates with a good degree are also encouraged to apply. Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications.

Job description

Design civil and structures (majority high rise structure) by studying project Architectural plans and preparing structural layouts based on the Architectural concept. The design preparation may be required to take into consideration wind tunnel modelling reports (if applicable) and site investigation and Geotechnical reports. Preparing engineering calculation and drawings adequate for tender and construction work (Structural).

A good knowledge ofBIM modelling and Revitis an advantage.

Able to work independently and liaise and communicate with Client, Architect, Consultant and Contractors and contribute to the progress of the design team.

Civil & Structural Engineer with minimum 3 years or more experience and must be familiar with current design codes of practice and competent with the use of various structural software related in particular to High-rise structures are encourage to apply. Knowledge of seismic design is an advantage.

Maintain and update the company’sBIM standards, library (project template and families) and procedures for sheet layout and layering.

Prepare and update projects'3D model for both Structure and Infrastructure by usingRevit including exporting of drawings from Revit.

To ensure Client's BIM Guidelines and requirements are accurately and adequately addressed and adhere to.

To coordinate with the project team.

Attend BIM Co‑ordination Meetings with all relevant parties or disciplines.

Able to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.

Requirements

Seeking experienced candidates with design experience who are :

• Hardworking, trustworthy and punctuality in ensuring the projects are delivered on schedule.
• Candidate with minimum 3 or more years of engineering design experience in Civil or Structural works are encourage to apply.
• Good Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is a prerequisite requirement.
• Candidates with BIM experiences and knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• Degree in Engineering / Building.
• MUST have experience in the use of Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks software with minimum 2 years working and related experience.
• Knowledge in BIM 360, Dynamo and Revit MEP will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in creating BIM drawing including "Family".
• Fresh graduates which good Degree are also encouraged to apply.
