Job Summary
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing strategic direction, executive leadership, and overall governance of the Company’s integrated automotive logistics operations. The role encompasses full accountability for end-to-end vehicle movement across land and sea, including transportation, customs clearance, terminal operations, and digital supply chain solutions. Working closely with the Board of Directors and senior leadership team, the CEO will drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, and market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Corporate Growth
- Define, articulate, and execute the Company’s vision, mission, and long-term strategic objectives.
- Lead business expansion initiatives across integrated automotive logistics, ocean freight, and related value-added services.
- Identify and develop new revenue streams, strategic partnerships, and market opportunities across land transport, customs clearance, and terminal operations.
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive developments to ensure continued market relevance and leadership.
- Drive commercial and operational strategies to strengthen the Company’s position among automotive manufacturers, importers, exporters, and key industry stakeholders.
End-to-End Logistics & Supply Chain Oversight
- Provide executive oversight of door-to-door vehicle movement, encompassing land transportation, ocean freight, customs clearance, and terminal operations.
- Ensure seamless coordination and alignment with transport partners, port authorities, customs agencies, and terminal operators.
- Establish, monitor, and continuously improve operational KPIs, including vessel utilisation, terminal throughput, customs clearance efficiency, and delivery performance.
- Implement industry best practices in automotive cargo handling, stowage, safety, and operational risk management.
Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Lead and champion digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational visibility, efficiency, and scalability.
- Oversee the development and optimisation of integrated logistics platforms, electronic documentation systems, and real-time cargo tracking solutions.
- Drive process improvement through automation, data analytics, and technology-enabled decision-making.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, digital adoption, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Financial Stewardship & Profitability
- Provide strategic leadership in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management across all business units.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth through effective pricing strategies, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, revenue leakage, and operational inefficiencies through robust governance and controls.
Customer, Stakeholder & Industry Engagement
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, transport partners, port authorities, customs officials, terminal operators, and regulators.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent service delivery and proactive stakeholder communication.
- Represent the Company in industry forums, strategic negotiations, regulatory engagements, and external partnerships.
Leadership & Organisational Development
- Lead, develop, and inspire the senior management team and workforce to achieve organisational objectives.
- Establish a performance-driven culture that emphasises accountability, documentation, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and alignment across all subsidiaries and operational units.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with Malaysian maritime laws, land transport regulations, customs requirements, and internal governance standards.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage strategic, operational, financial, and regulatory risks.
- Strengthen corporate governance frameworks and internal control systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA or Master’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline; Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in automotive logistics, transportation, or related industries.
- At least 10 years in senior executive leadership roles (CEO, COO, GM, or equivalent).
- Strong track record in integrated supply chain management, ocean freight operations, and vehicle terminal management.
- Demonstrated experience in leading digital transformation and IT-driven process improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to develop and execute growth strategies across multiple subsidiaries or business units.
- Strong financial acumen with end-to-end P&L management experience.
- Proven leadership capability in managing diverse teams and engaging senior stakeholders.
