Responsibilities

• Ensure cooks are well-groomed with proper uniforms.
• Supervise and guide Commis Cooks.
• Maintain food quality in the Section Kitchen.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Approve all dishes before serving.
• Coordinate with other teams for smooth operations.
• Notify Engineering about any defects.
• Adapt to different stations as required.
• Implement all policies and procedures.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensures all cooks are well groomed, in proper chef uniform and of acceptable personal hygienic.
• Supervise and guide all Commis Cooks under his direct supervision.
• Supervise the preparation of food items in the Section Kitchen and is responsible for the food quality.
• Always maintains a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Tastes and approves all dishes before they leave the kitchen. Ensures all dishes served strictly follows standard recipes and presentation set by the Executive Chef.
• Works closely with other Section Head, Stewarding Team, Banqueting Staff and Service Staff for smooth operations.
• To ensure safe working conditions at all times, and notifies Engineering Department if there are any defects for repairs.
• Even though the Chef de Parties is assigned to a specific station with which he must be completely familiar with he may be relocated either temporarily or permanently in the course of service to help on another station.
• He ensures all policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
