The Business Services Payroll Associate position is an exciting opportunity for candidates who thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced business process outsourcing (BPO) environment.

The Payroll Associate supports the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services to multiple clients across different industries and countries, with a strong focus on Japan-based subsidiaries of global companies.

Working under the guidance of senior consultants, the role is responsible for preparing, validating, and processing payroll data while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and client policies.

Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided for Japan and other country-specific payroll processes, local regulations, and internal systems. This position offers valuable exposure to regional payroll operations and client management within a consulting environment, providing a strong foundation for career growth in payroll and HR advisory services. While helpful, no prior professional experience is required, and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Receiving salary information from clients, inputting it into the payroll system, and calculating payroll within established timelines.
  • Collecting new joiner/leaver information and completing onboarding/offboarding processes, including insurance registration/deregistration and submissions to authorities.
  • Responding to client queries related to payroll and benefits processes within established target timelines.
  • Maintaining complete confidentiality of all payroll data, records, and reports.
  • Ensuring filing and record‑keeping of all employee files and data in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Supporting ad‑hoc projects and other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
Skills and Experience
  • Business‑level English reading and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing Chinese characters.li>
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
