Job summary

A prominent healthcare facility in Ipoh is seeking a professional to manage reception and registration procedures for patients. The role includes providing patient advice, handling billing, and ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and professional. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in Front Office Operations or Customer Service, and must be willing to work shifts, including nights and weekends. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience, preferably in Front Office Operations or Customer Service in the healthcare or hospitality industry.
  • Willing to work on shifts (including night shifts), weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that reception and registration procedures are handled timely.
  • Provide advice to patients regarding admission and visitation procedures.
  • Ensure all charges are accurately entered into the Hospital Information System (HIS).
  • Perform final checking on charges, especially doctor's charges.
  • Ensure billing and collection procedures are executed professionally.
  • Verify insurance benefits assigned to determine coverage.
  • Apply for a Guarantee Letter (GL) and liaise with insurance providers.
  • Collect payment through cash, debit/credit card, and cheque.
  • Ensure cashier closing report is accurate with daily collection.
  • Assist in ad-hoc tasks or projects assigned.

Ensure that reception and registration procedures for patients attending specialist clinics are handled in a timely manner.

Provide advice to patients regarding their admission/visitation procedures.

Ensure all charges received are accurately entered into the Hospital Information System (HIS).

Perform final checking on charges, especially doctor’s charges, consignment items, etc., upon finalizing and presenting the patient’s bill for collection purposes.

Ensure billing and collection procedures are executed professionally.

Verify insurance benefits assigned to our hospital to determine if insurance coverage meets the standard of admission in the defined policy.

Apply for a Guarantee Letter (GL) and liaise with insurance providers.

Collect payment through cash, debit/credit card, and cheque.

Ensure cashier closing report is accurate with the daily collection

Assist in ad-hoc task/project assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience, preferably in Front Office Operations or Customer Service in the healthcare or hospitality industry.
