We are seeking to hire a highly driven, proactive and experienced individual to be our Business Development Manager! As our first hire in Malaysia, you will own the market‑entry strategy, build meaningful partnerships, and drive end‑to‑end sales for our SaaS platform in the financial and insurance sectors.

This is a remote‑first role with full autonomy and high impact—hence we are looking for candidates with a strong Fintech or Insurtech background, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced start‑up environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategy for the company.
  • Identify, target, and close B2B opportunities with Financial Advisory Firms, Insurance Companies, Wealth Management Platforms, and Investment Consultancies.
  • Leverage your existing network to generate leads and referrals.
  • Conduct discovery calls, product demos, and solution presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with the founder to fine‑tune sales messaging and CRM feature positioning.
  • Represent the company at relevant events, meetups, and virtual showcases (where possible).
  • Gather market feedback and contribute to product improvement suggestions.
  • Build strategic partnerships for potential B2B2C growth opportunities.
Who Are We Looking For
  • 4+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development in Fintech / Insurtech.
  • Demonstrated success in selling SaaS or digital financial tools to enterprise or SME clients.
  • Strong network in the Malaysian financial services and insurance sector.
  • Independent and resourceful — able to thrive as a first hire in a new market.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (English & Bahasa Malaysia preferred).
  • Comfortable with remote work setup and digital‑first outreach strategies.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with CRM tools, financial planning platforms, or digital onboarding solutions.
