Business Development Executive-SP (SJ&KL)
Recruited to build relationships with key educational institutions in Subang Jaya and Kuala Lumpur, creating awareness of IDP’s student placement services and generating quality student leads.
Position Purpose
Drive the growth of private student placements by identifying and engaging with private schools, colleges, universities, and governmental agencies, while maintaining high service standards and continuously improving processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Head BD and senior management to develop and execute lead‑generation programs, including events and activities at target institutions.
- Conduct regular market mapping and maintain an up‑to‑date database of potential partners.
- Build and sustain contractual and non‑contractual partnerships, including with government agencies such as MARA.
- Generate student leads, applications and finalisations from identified institutions.
- Develop and implement business development plans, perform time‑bound visits, and provide progress updates.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of service and client‑management performance standards and benchmarks.
- Lead participation in global improvement projects and drive adoption of best practices.
- Escalate issues promptly to supervisors, provide timely feedback on competitor activities, market changes, and visa policy updates.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree (or equivalent work experience).
- Preferably prior experience in the Malaysian education sector, private institution marketing, or agent student placement.
- Strong sales orientation and relationship‑building skills.
- Experience developing business plans, market mapping, budgets, and monitoring progress.
- Familiarity with CRM systems is desirable.
- Ethical professional with integrity, acting in the best interests of the business.
- Respect for diversity and the ability to work within a multicultural team.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and team‑working skills.
