Business Development Executive (QSR) – Asia Pacific

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven QSR Business Development Executive to join our APAC team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving our growth strategy within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and Chain Account sector. You will provide crucial support to the Business Development Manager while also taking ownership of key accounts and new business initiatives, acting as a catalyst for expansion across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Account Management: Assist the QSR Business Development Manager in pursuing, developing, and securing business with regional and global QSR and chain partners.
  • Manage the day-to-day coordination and relationship with a portfolio of selected accounts, ensuring exceptional service and fostering strong, long-term partnerships.
  • Independently identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within the QSR and chain segment across the APAC region.
  • Strategic Support & Analysis: Prepare compelling commercial proposals, presentations, and detailed market analysis to support strategic negotiations and decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs within the dynamic QSR landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams (including Marketing, R&D, and Supply Chain) to tailor solutions that effectively meet customer requirements.
  • Support the planning and execution of customer-facing events, including trade shows, joint business reviews, and product presentations.
  • Represent the company professionally, building our brand and reputation as a trusted partner in the QSR industry.
Requirements
  • Degree: Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade, Food Science, Food Technology or a related field.
  • Working Experience:
    • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the Food & Beverage industry.
    • Previous direct experience working with or for Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) or national/regional chain accounts.
    • Existing network of contacts within the APAC QSR industry.
    • Experience in the food manufacturing or ingredient supply sector.
  • Knowledges, Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong communication: negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
    • Analytical mindset: with the ability to interpret market data and translate it into actionable insights.
    • Proactive: self-motivated, and entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Willingness and ability to undertake regional travel as required (approximately 25–30%).
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to facilitate effective communication in a diverse work environment. Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred as the role requires interaction with Mandarin-speaking clients.
