THE POSITION: Business Development Executive (Eatigo)

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our merchant network. You will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new restaurant partners who can benefit from the yield management services provided through the Eatigo platforms.

Reporting directly to the Country Lead, you will be a key member of our Sales & Business Development Team. The ideal candidate is a team player and someone who works in a fast-paced environment, under pressure whilst remaining resilient, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.

Please note this is a field sales role requiring you to be physically based in Johor and reports to the Country Lead in Kuala Lumpur.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Strategic Partner Acquisition:
    • Proactively identify and secure high-potential restaurant partners across Malaysia who align with Eatigo’s growth strategy.
    • Leverage in-depth knowledge of the current Malaysia F&B industry and local market trends to drive lead generation.
    • Engage potential partners through a strategic mix of outreach methods—cold calling, targeted email campaigns, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
  • Value Proposition & Negotiation:
    • Craft and execute tailored sales strategies that resonate with Malaysia restaurant operators.
    • Deliver compelling presentations and articulate a strong business case that highlights the unique value of partnering with Eatigo.
    • Lead contract negotiations with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes, including locally relevant pricing structures and terms.
  • Partner Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with new and prospective restaurant partners by understanding their unique goals and challenges.
    • Act as a dedicated point of contact, ensuring timely communication and support throughout the onboarding process.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—especially Sales Operations in Malaysia to deliver a seamless partner experience.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all acquisition activities comply with Malaysia regulations and internal company policies.
    • Maintain accurate, well-organized documentation across all stages of the partner onboarding process.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • Degree or Diploma in any field
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or merchant acquisition, preferably in the e-commerce/food-tech industry, is preferred, but fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Mandatory professional fluency in Mandarin and English are required to effectively communicate and negotiate with our target merchants.
  • Must be based in Johor or willing to relocate.
  • Ability to conduct physical field sales discussions with merchants.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a strong affinity for problem-solving.
