The role of business analyst (BA) is to help organizations improve their processes, products, services and systems through analysis, problem‑solving, and communication. Some of the key responsibilities of a business analyst may include:

Responsibilities
  • Collect and review data to identify patterns, trends and insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and compelling presentations showcasing in‑depth data analysis findings, tailored for dissemination to stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to determine the demand and insights for products and services.
  • Address operational, financial and technological risks within the business.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and IT groups, communicating ideas to management.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, with an accredited management consultancy qualification or similar.
  • 1‑3 years of technical business analysis experience in a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of data security, encryption, relevant licensing and industry compliance regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI; knowledge in SQL (an added advantage).
