Job Description

The purpose of this role is to assist the Commercial Finance team in delivering timely and accurate information to the business through analysis of business unit performance to support decision making.

Financial Planning & Analysis and Compliance

• Assist in the monthly management commentary for local, regional and group reporting, giving a clear understanding of key business trends sourced from the business senior management team
• Prepare the budgeting and forecasting numbers for local, regional and group reporting in co‑ordination with Operational Finance Noida (OFN) and Reporting Centre of Excellence. Support the Finance Business Partner in discussions with the business
• Collect and analyse financial information to support decision making
• Analyse job cost, work in progress and write off, in conjunction with the front office

Commercial finance & Business development

• Identify and monitor underlying drivers of cost variances between actual expenditure vs. forecast/budget, raising issues where necessary to the Finance Business Partner
• Prepare the media income and rebate analysis alongside the trading & client teams
• Support account directors in their understanding and use of client profitability analysis. Assist in the production of fee quotes and analysis

In-market co-ordination and OFC engagement

• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes as required by the Finance Business Partner, ensuring that data requirements to be sourced by OFN for budgeting and forecasting are provided in accordance with the pre‑agreed timetable
• Work proactively within the business to identify improvement opportunities in the budgeting and forecasting process, e.g. changes to standard management reports, by analysing and redefining the forecasting, data capture and reporting processes
• Support finance and cross-functional change projects as required
  

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business with at least one of the following: • Accounting/Finance major, or Internationally recognised part or full finance/accounting qualification (i.e. ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA) Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
• Preferably 3+ years of commercial finance, generalist finance or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) experience and some exposure to the media/advertising industry
• Those who are strong in operational finance in the advertising industry (i.e. Senior Finance Executive or Assistant Finance Manager) and would like to make the first step into FP&A are also encouraged to apply
• Those who are in audit and would like to move into industry are also encouraged to apply
• Proven experience of successful collaboration between finance and non-finance people
• Strong command of English
