Job summary

A manufacturing company in Segamat, Malaysia, is seeking a skilled technician for steam boiler operations and maintenance. Responsibilities include operating high pressure boilers, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting issues. Candidates must possess Boilerman Grade 1 or 2 certification and have at least 3 years of relevant experience. The role involves shift work and requires effective communication in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Experience in a palm oil mill is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' working experience in a similar position.
• Able to perform shift work and willing to work long hours.
• Preferably with PALM OIL MILL manufacturing experience.

Job description

Responsible for steam boiler operations including upkeep of boiler’s operation data and safety aspects.

Operate high pressure boilers, cooling towers, compressors and process water systems.

Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance schedule and to trouble shoot when necessary.

To ensure the boilers are kept in good running condition at all time.

Maintain 12 units of Miura Boiler (2tonned) & Air compressors.

Troubleshoot Boiler & Air compressor issues.

Maintain housekeeping at Boiler & Air Compressors area.

Prepare report for breakdown & troubleshooting.

Work with vendors on boiler troubleshooting.

Prepare JKKP yearly inspections for boiler.

To assist in other maintenance duties as and when assigned by the superior.

To implement any other duties related to the department that may arise from time to time as per instruction by the Company.

Requirements:-

Must possess Boilerman Grade 1 or 2 certificate.

Candidate must possess at least SPM or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years’ working experience in a similar position.

Able to perform shift work and willing to work long hours.

Able to work during weekends and public holidays if necessary.

Able to communicate well in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Preferably with PALM OIL MILL manufacturing experience.
