A financial services company based in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced application support professional with at least 10 years in the industry. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in core banking, payments, and data warehousing, as well as experience with SQL, Oracle, and Linux systems. Incident Management: Monitor, resolve, and escalates system issues.
Problem Management: Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
Change Management: Review and oversee system changes without disruption.
Service Excellence: Ensure SLA compliance and deliver performance reports.
Leadership: Mentor junior staff and coordinate team operations.
Continuous Improvement: Optimize processes and train staff on new systems.
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years in application support, with at least 6 years in banking.
Strong knowledge of core banking, payments (SWIFT, ACH, RTGS), data warehousing.
Hands‑on with SQL, Oracle, Unix/Linux, Windows Server, AS400.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like ITRS Geneos, Splunk.
Bonus: ITIL methodology, scripting, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Independent, proactive, and excellent communicator.
