Job description

As an Intermediate AWS Network Engineer, you will support 24×7 network operations, monitoring, and automation tasks, ensuring infrastructure stability and rapid incident response.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support & Monitoring

• Monitor CloudWatch alerts (EC2 health, VPC anomalies), triage issues, and elevate complex cases.
• Maintain Transit Gateway routing tables, audit cross-region connections, and produce health reports.
• Track third‑party dedicated line performance (latency/packet loss) and submit trend analyses.

Automation & Tooling

• Write Python/Bash utilities for log archiving (VPC Flow Logs to S3) and resource tagging.
• Use AWS Systems Manager to automate patching, backups, and security group audits.

Security & Compliance

• Analyze VPC Flow Logs to block suspicious IPs (e.g., port scanning) and update NACL rules.
• Audit security groups, remove obsolete rules, and maintain compliance checklists.
• Support SOC investigations with network‑layer forensics (e.g., traffic log extraction).

Skills & Qualifications

Experience

• 3+ years in cloud networking, with 1+ year focused on AWS.
• Understanding of financial network architectures (e.g., DMZ/core zone isolation).

Technical Expertise

• Hands‑on experience with EC2, VPC, and Route 53, and basic CloudFormation templating.
• Linux CLI tools (tcpdump, Netstat) for network diagnostics.
• Basic scripting (Python/Bash) for log/resource management.

Certifications

• AWS Solutions Architect – Associate (required).
