A precision injection moulding company is seeking an Automation Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to oversee project planning, design, and execution. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields and strong proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks. Responsibilities include preparing project documentation, coordinating procurement, monitoring system performance, and mentoring junior team members. Automation Engineer (Experience 3-5 years)
Develop detailed project plans within two weeks following approval from the Head of Department.
Collect and consolidate all necessary documentation and information during the planning phase.
Conduct departmental meetings within one week to communicate the project plan and allocate responsibilities.
Ensure timely completion of design, fabrication, assembly, and testing according to all project timelines.
Coordinate and execute project implementation and ensure projects are deployed follow the planned timeline.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members while actively contributing to system design during project execution.
Monitor and consolidate weekly project progress reports for departmental review and Automation Weekly Meetings.
Prepare and submit purchase requisitions to the Purchasing Department by the 20th of each month, or as required.
Maintain regular follow-up with the Purchasing Department every two weeks to ensure timely delivery of components in line with project lead times.
Monitor the performance of implemented projects and prepare comprehensive handover documentation for the Production team within four weeks of project commissioning.
Establish and execute scheduled maintenance for automation systems to maintain consistent operational efficiency.
Provide timely responses to production team inquiries and complaints related to automation systems within two hours.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0.
2 to 4 years of relevant working experience in automation engineering, control systems, robotics, or industrial process automation.
Proficient in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks, for design and modelling.
Strong knowledge of electrical circuit design, wiring principles, and proper installation standards.
Basic programming skills in PLC platform and robotic systems.
Fundamental knowledge in control systems, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
