Job Description:As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Product Specialist to join our expanding pharmaceutical sales team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in promoting our specialized pharmaceutical products, focusing on therapies in cardiology, endocrinology, and nephrology. This position involves building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals to achieve business objectives while upholding our Ethics and Values.

The role also requires managing customer engagements, delivering scientific product information, driving commercial sales, and maintaining accurate documentation of all sales activities within the assigned territory. Primary Function:

  • Take personal sales responsibility for a specifically defined territory, targeting cardiologists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, and potentially oncologists and neurologists, with a focus on hospital accounts.
  • Ensure the achievement of, or exceed, sales targets within the specified period.
  • Perform market analysis, evaluate competitor activities, and provide regular feedback and updates to management on a monthly basis.
  • Strategize and align business plans while planning and executing sales and marketing activities within the defined territory.
  • Ensure that adverse event (AE) reports from the market are appropriately documented and communicated to the designated pharmacovigilance (PV) manager in a timely manner.

Key Duties/ Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for the allocated territory/product by developing new business with existing and potential clients.

Aggressively build product market share within respective sales territories.

  • Apply appropriate selling and negotiation skills to enhance performance and capitalize on sales opportunities to drive overall business growth.
  • Actively monitor market trends through personal contact with customers and by attending industry association meetings and seminars.

Identify and target key physicians and allied healthcare professionals, securing agreements and maintaining strong relationships.

  • In consultation with your manager, plan field activities based on customer segmentation and targeting principles to maximize results.
  • Analyse territory and customer data, including doctor call reports, and track territory expenses regularly.

Develop and maintain personal relationships with key opinion leaders through regular field visits and keep an updated database of key prescribers.

  • Report on sales, activities, and territory performance as required by the company.
  • Initiate regular discussions with your superior regarding personal goals, performance reviews, and appraisals on a semi-annual basis.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and High-Performance Culture guidelines.
  • Ensure all marketing and business practices comply with the PHARMA codes of conduct (whichever is stricter).
