Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Klang City is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to deliver first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in IT or a related field and strong troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, assisting with system setups, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Fluency in English is required, and a valid transport is necessary for travel within Klang Valley.

Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide first-level support for hardware, software, printers, and network
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose common problems and escalate complex cases to senior engineers or supervisors.
  • System Setup: Assist with installation, configuration, upgrades, and preventive maintenance of IT systems.
  • Deployment & Rollouts: Support new deployments, relocations (Moves, Adds, Changes), and project rollouts.
  • Service Delivery: Ensure all tasks meet SLA requirements and deliver high customer satisfaction.
  • Escalation Management: Escalate unresolved issues properly and follow up to ensure timely closure.
  • Inventory & Documentation: Assist in maintaining IT equipment inventory and keep accurate service records.
  • Learning & Mentorship: Participate in structured training, shadowing, and guided assignments under experienced mentors.
  • Skills Development: Pursue relevant certifications and continuous learning as part of your career growth
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer/ Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Technical Expertise: Good knowledge of IT troubleshooting methodology, root cause analysis, and system diagnostics.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities. (Mandarin will be an added advantage)
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess good interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced IT environment while meeting evolving user requirements.
  • Independence: Able to take ownership of tasks and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Mobility: Willing to travel within Klang Valley and possess own transport
