Job summary

A leading insurance provider in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Corporate Communications Executive to produce quality communication materials, build media relationships, and support crisis strategies. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong writing and editing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related fields, with proficiency in media monitoring tools. An added advantage is the ability to communicate in Mandarin.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality corporate communication materials for both internal and external audiences, including press releases, speeches, newsletters, and digital content.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners to enhance brand visibility and secure positive media coverage.
  • Support the development and execution of crisis communication strategies, including drafting timely media statements and coordinating responses.
  • Execute media sponsorship events, evaluate sponsorship proposals, and provide recommendations for strategic improvements.
  • Execute internal publications such as the Annual Report and Unit Funds Annual Report, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate messaging.
  • Coordinate end-to-end Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and post-event reporting.
  • Monitor daily news coverage related to Great Eastern, competitors, and industry trends. Track and report Public Relations (PR) value and insights to inform communication strategies.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor Degree and above in Marketing, Commerce, Management and/or related
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in corporate communications or media relations.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in media monitoring tools and digital communication platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and innovative with good project management skills.
  • Good knowledge of brand management, Public Relations best practices as well as event management and crisis management.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin would an added advantage.
