JOB DESCRIPTION ASSISTANT MANAGER - OPERATION / SENIOR EXECUTIVE - OPERATION
Assistant Operations Manager / Senior Operations Executive
Manage, coordinate, and implement effective control of Ferry Terminal operations using existing facilities and manpower.
Oversee and manage daily operational activities of the Operations Department.
Monitor all aspects of terminal operations, including proposing upgrades to infrastructure and facilities.
Coordinate passenger flow processes at all terminal counters, including those operated by government agencies.
Act as the main liaison with government agencies on terminal operational matters.
Possess thorough knowledge of all operational sections and provide accurate information to customers when required.
Monitor and manage operational licenses with relevant authorities and letters of undertaking related to ticketing, terminal, and shipping operations.
Maintain records and follow up on Maintenance Request Forms, quotations, agreements, and contracts related to the Operations Department.
Compile and maintain ISPS Code training programs and reports to ensure passenger safety and security during arrival and departure.
Control and monitor customer and ferry operator credit usage and aging.
Prepare weekly and monthly Situation Reports (SITREP) for terminal operations.
Monitor actual expenses and sales against the approved budget and optimize operational costs through efficient resource management.
Prepare all operational documentation to ensure smooth terminal, luggage handling, berthing, and shipping operations in accordance with company policies.
Maintain and update the Operations Fixed Asset status report.
Verify and ensure all tasks performed by assistants are completed accurately and on time.
Diploma or Certificate in a related field or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
Knowledge of Ferry Terminal Management and operations.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Hands-on, proactive, and results-oriented approach to work oriented.
