A healthcare provider in Subang Jaya is seeking an Assistant Manager for Laboratory Procurement & Projects. The role involves leading end-to-end procurement for consumables and equipment, driving budget planning, evaluating new vendors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Science or Biomedical Science, managerial experience in a clinical laboratory, and strong knowledge in procurement and contract management. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential. This position offers a competitive salary in a dynamic environment.
Lead end-to-end procurement for consumables, reagents, equipment, services & CAPEX (including reagent rental agreements).
Drive budget planning, forecasting, cost-containment initiatives, and financial optimization to meet Dept Goals(OPEX & CAPEX).
Evaluate and recommend new vendors, review & negotiate contracts, and maintain long-term vendor partnerships with strategic & efficient cost reduction and value-added service strategies.
Support Laboratory Manager in strategic planning, innovation, service development & business proposals.
Assess and procure equipment and technology aligned with clinical requirements, market needs, and emerging healthcare trends.
Review & manage pricing structure, and test profiles for service competitiveness.
Ensure governance, ethical compliance, and alignment with regulatory standards & accreditation requirements.
Lead and support laboratory projects related to operational efficiency, digital transformation, service enhancements & improvements, and accreditation compliance.
Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, SJMC Procurement, Legal, Hospital Management) to minimize legal/financial risks and support strategic goals.
Participate in Laboratory Quality Team (LQT/MLC) meetings and present project updates and data-driven recommendations.
