A leading pharmacy chain in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead recruitment and provide generalist HR support. You will manage end-to-end recruitment processes and onboarding while ensuring compliance with Malaysia's labour laws. Candidates should have 5-6 years of HR experience with strong recruitment and employee relations skills. This role is vital in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting employees in the Southern Region.
Lead and support end-to-end recruitment for the Southern Region while providing HR generalist support to ensure smooth people operations, regulatory compliance, and positive employee engagement.
Manage end-to-end recruitment for the Southern Region (Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and Johor), including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer management.
Prepare and post job advertisements; shortlist candidates and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely and effective hiring decisions.
Maintain accurate budgeted headcount reports, recruitment records and provide regular hiring progress updates.
Manage onboarding processes, including preparation of offer letters, employment contracts, and new-hire orientation.
Track probation periods and support performance review processes.
Administer leave records and employee documentation.
Act as the primary HR point of contact for employees in the Southern Region.
Handle HR queries, basic employee relations matters, and day-to-day people operations.
Ensure HR documentation is accurate, updated, and compliant.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Malaysia labour laws.
Support employee engagement activities and HR initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
Minimum 5 - 6 years of HR experience, with strong exposure to recruitment and generalist functions.
Hands-on experience managing end-to-end hiring.
Good knowledge of Malaysia Employment Act and labour regulations.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Able to manage multiple roles and tight hiring timelines.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
