Job description
Responsibilities
  • Prepare submission documents for the establishment of new collective investment schemes and make the necessary submissions to the SC in a timely manner.
  • Prepare supplemental collective investment schemes documents for submission to the SC in a timely manner.
  • Prepare any other applications for submission to the SC, including exemptions and variations, extensions of time and online transactions.
  • Ensure offering documents are at all times in compliance with the relevant SC's guidelines.
  • Participate in the due diligence including liaising with internal business units and external parties (such as solicitors, trustees, Shariah advisers and tax adviser) for the purpose of submission to the SC.
  • Provide regulatory advice on compliance matters pertaining to the establishment of collective investment schemes and any other applications to be submitted to the SC.
  • Responsible to any ad-hoc tasks assisted by the Company.
  • Able to guide junior team members.
Qualifications
  • Possess at least a degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Studies or any equivalent.
  • Between 5 to 10 years of experience in fund documentation and/or compliance preferably in unit trust or asset management industry and have a good understanding of collective investment schemes/products/funds.
  • Well-versed in the SC's guidelines and good rapport with the SC is an added advantage.
  • Excellent command in English including excellent business writing skill.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
