A leading property investment firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Assistant Manager, Finance to oversee financial reporting and cash flow management. You will supervise a skilled accounting team while engaging with operations and leasing teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. This role requires over six years of experience in finance or auditing, preferably with exposure to real estate. We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Finance to take accountability for financial reporting, cash flow discipline, and compliance across our property investment portfolio.
This is a hands-on, business-facing role for a seasoned finance professional who values clarity, discipline, and execution.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will manage the integrity of financial reporting and cash flow visibility for assigned investment entities.
You will supervise a small, experienced accounting team and work closely with property operations and leasing teams to ensure financial accuracy, timely issue resolution, and transparent reporting.
Own monthly close, reporting accuracy, and variance analysis
Ensure audit-ready records and compliance with standards
Cash Flow & Collections
Monitor receivables and cash flow risks
Personally manage escalated tenant arrears and settlements
Budgeting & Forecasting
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance explanations
Update projections based on leasing and collection realities
Business Engagement
Act as finance counterpart to property management and leasing
Translate operational activity into clear financial insight
Team Supervision
Supervise accounts and credit control staff
Set clear priorities and quality standards
6+ years’ experience in finance, accounting, or audit
Exposure to property investment or real estate preferred
Strong reporting, cash flow, and compliance capability
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Experience supervising junior finance staff
ACCA / CPA or equivalent preferred
Clear ownership of finance execution and discipline
Close exposure to business operations and senior leadership
