Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced professional for contract administration. The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying and a minimum of 10 years' experience. Responsibilities include managing contract issues at the Project Site, ensuring compliance with budgets, and liaising with clients and subcontractors. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership skills and be willing to work outside of Klang Valley.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience.
  • Good leadership skills and self-discipline.
  • Willingness to be based outside of Klang Valley.

Responsibilities

  • Daily contract administration at Project Site.
  • Ensure timely submission of Progress Payment Claim.
  • Liaise with Client/Consultants on contractual/commercial aspects.
  • Administer subcontract and resolve disagreements with subcontractors.
  • Take ownership of contractual/commercial issues at site.
  • Ensure works are within the Project Budget.
  • Source potential subcontractors/Suppliers.
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractors' additional works.
  • Manage contract administration tasks and guide QS team.
Job description
Responsibilities

Daily contract administration at Project Site which shall include but not limited to the followings:-

To ensure submission of Progress Payment Claim to the Employer on time

To liaise with Client/Consultants on all the contractual/commercial aspects including attending progress meeting with external parties

Administration of subcontract and resolving on any disagreement with subcontractors/suppliers

Taking full ownership of all contractual/commercial issues at site.

Ensure all the works carried out are within the Project Budget

Sourcing of potential subcontractors/Suppliers for any potential works which may encounter during the construction stage

Evaluate, negotiate and provide recommendation of all subcontractors' additional works/VO

Other contract administration such as writing correspondences, dispute resolution/avoidance, leading and provide guidance to a team of QS working at site

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification

Min 10 years of working experience

Good in leadership and self discipline

Willing to be base at outside of Klang Valley
