A leading edible oil company in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager for Business Development & Marketing. This role involves identifying business opportunities, executing marketing initiatives, and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a degree in relevant fields and 3–6 years of experience in marketing or business development. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to oversee multiple projects and deadlines. To supports the company’s growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and executing marketing initiatives that enhance brand visibility and market presence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Business Development
Identify potential clients, markets, and strategic partners to generate new business opportunities.
Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, tender submissions, and presentations.
Conduct market research to evaluate industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Support negotiations and collaboration agreements to secure new contracts.
Maintain and expand relationships with key clients, distributors, and business partners.
2. Marketing & Branding
Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, events, and promotional activities.
Assist in developing marketing materials such as brochures, product sheets, presentations, and corporate profiles.
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing platforms and communications.
Coordinate with creative agencies, media partners, and vendors for marketing execution.
Contribute to annual business plans, marketing strategies, and sales forecasts.
Analyze campaign performance and market data to support strategic decision-making.
Provide insights and recommendations for improving market penetration and brand awareness.
Work closely with the sales team to align marketing activities with sales objectives.
Support customer engagement, product launches, trade shows, and corporate events.
Prepare sales kits, pitch materials, and client-specific marketing content.
5. Coordination & Reporting
Prepare monthly reports on sales pipelines, business development activities, and marketing performance.
Ensure timely execution of projects and monitor progress against planned timelines.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, finance, operations) to support business growth initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Additional certifications in digital marketing or sales are an advantage.
3–6 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales.
Experience in B2B, B2C, or a related industry will be an added advantage.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Good analytical ability with proficiency in market research and data analysis.
Experience with digital marketing tools, social media management, and CRM systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Creative, proactive, and result-driven mindset.
Willing to travel for client meetings, events, or business activities.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
