Job summary

An international waste management solutions company in Malaysia seeks a Maintenance & Service Engineer to lead a technical team responsible for operational integrity of automated waste collection systems. Ideal candidates should possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering and over five years of relevant experience, alongside fluency in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin.   • Lead and train the Maintenance & Service team on AWCS repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Formulate costing proposals and manage service contract negotiations.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Manage departmental cash flow and customer debt collection.
  • Source and manage vendor relationships.

Skills

Fluency in English
Fluency in Bahasa Melayu

Knowledge of ISO 9001/ISO 14001 compliance

  • Oversee maintenance schedules, service activities, and ensure proper record-keeping for all contracts
  • Manage departmental cash flow and customer debt collection to maintain healthy finances
  • Source and manage vendor relationships for materials, suppliers, and sub-contractors
What you'll need
Must Have
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of maintenance, service management, or supervisory experience
  • Fluency in English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin (spoken)
  • Own transport and willingness to travel within Malaysia
  • ISO 9001/ISO 14001 compliance knowledge and advantage
Good to Have
  • Experience managing technical teams or technicians
  • Background in contract management and costing proposals
