Job summary

A financial management firm in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee accounting operations and ensure financial compliance. The role involves managing SQL accounting, preparing monthly management accounts, and liaising with auditors. Candidates must possess a degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent, and be fluent in both Mandarin and English. Independent candidates who can meet tight deadlines are preferred. Job description
  • Manage SQL accounting and financial operations with oversight for financial reporting, account records and accounting controls.
  • Oversee the finance operations i.e. accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory control and etc.
  • Ensure the compliance of e‑Invoice.
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts and analysis for Managing Director.
  • Liaise with external auditor and Tax agent to ensure all statutory requirements are in compliance with.
  • Ensure financial statements comply with all statutory and legal requirements such as MFRS, Companies Act, Income Tax Act and etc.
  • Analyze financial statements, conduct cost/benefit analysis and identify areas of improvement.
  • Presentation of finance results to Directors and analyse financial results and develop strategic financial plans.
  • Develop, monitor and improve the finance policies and procedures.
  • In charge of inventory control which includes and not limited to regular stock counts, costing and stock valuation.
  • Administer claims related to government grant administration (Market Development Grant – MATRADE).
  • Handle monthly Payroll and sales commission, maintaining employees’ data and personnel files in SQL Payroll system.
  • Assist in human resources functions including recruitment, hiring and employee relations.
  • Administer staff leave, medical leave and etc.
  • Ensured compliance of human resource policy, employee benefits and employment law.
  • Administer own & third party online business website and ensure all billing and collection are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Any ad hoc task assigned by the Managing Director.

This position reports directly to Managing Director.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent. Candidate with Diploma in Finance but having at least 5 years of experience in the related job scope can be considered.
  • Preferably with experience in handling salary, statutory payment & commission payout.
  • Experienced in SQL Accounting and E‑Invoice.
  • Knowledge and Experience in using Microsoft Excel formulas.
  • Must be Able to write and speak fluent Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
  • Highly independent, Self‑discipline and able to work under tight schedule.
  • High level of commitment towards deadlines, responsibility and attention to details.
