A healthcare provider in Penang is seeking a Finance Manager to assist in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, 5–10 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in accounting software like Autocount. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to effectively manage financial projects and mentor junior staff. This role requires fluency in Mandarin, Malay, and English for diverse stakeholder engagement.
Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports.
Ensure financial statements comply with accounting standards.
Assist in preparing internal and external financial reports for stakeholders.
Support the preparation and management of annual budgets.
Assist in forecasting and financial planning processes.
Monitor departmental spending and suggest adjustments as needed.
Monitor cash flow and assist in managing working capital.
Ensure timely payments and receipts to maintain liquidity.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and support cash management strategies.
Ensure financial practices comply with corporate policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
Assist in audit preparation and liaise with auditors.
Support internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure reporting accuracy.
Review journal entries and month-end closing activities.
Review accounts, including bank statements, general ledger, and sub-ledgers.
Support the Finance Manager in managing the general ledger and accounting systems.
Assist in special financial projects, cost analysis, and other initiatives.
Provide financial analysis and support for strategic management decisions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand financial needs and support decision-making.
Assist in mentoring and training junior finance staff.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, MIA, or CFA are a plus.
5–10 years of finance or accounting experience, with proven expertise in financial reporting and budgeting.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Autocount) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Languages Able to Speak: Mandarin, Malay, and English to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
