Job summary

A construction and management firm is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Job description
Responsibilities

To assist in cost analysis and control, monthly claim preparation and evaluation, and upkeep of document progression for on-going projects.

To assist in tender calling, tender evaluation, and analysis, and assist in preparing the tender report during the tendering process.

Perform measurement/taking off during pre, post, and final contract stages.

To maintain a proper and systematic documentation filing system for outgoing and incoming contract correspondences.

To handle pre and post tendering works, quotations, contracts, administration of projects in execution, purchasing, and preparing progress claims.

To assist in cost estimation, costing, and procurement for future developments.

Responsible for contract administration in accordance to the COC.

Attend any meetings as and when required.

Review and prepare final account for recommendation to superior.

Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess a Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Contract Management, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 to 7 years working experience in a main contractor company.
  • Familiar with both PWD and PAM Conditions of Contract.
  • Able to work independently in handling pre and post tender.
  • Vast knowledge in infrastructure works such as flood mitigation, water treatment plant, etc., will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
